Bad News 10/24/2008

Why should every news be good news? You know, finding Nintendo Wii in stock may not be all that easy anymore. With Christmas so close around, the unit production at the Nintendo mills has tackled down, making it tough for the market to keep up with a Wii demand.

Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo’s America President said that it is very difficult for the company to cope up with the increasing demand and thus people might not be able to find stocks of the Wii in retail shops. Speaking to the Mercury News, Reggie Fils-Aime said, “We’re working very hard to make sure that consumers are satisfied this holiday, but I can’t guarantee that we’re going to meet demand. As a matter of fact, I can tell you on the record that we won’t.” “What I can tell you is that typically, our inventory is lasting a day… I don t think we will know when supply crosses with demand until after the holiday season,” he added. If this is the case, people who wish to buy the consoles now have to hurry. Or else people will not find the Nintendo Wii in stock. And you may not be able to enjoy your Christmas to the fullest.
