Both Amazon and GameStop are accepting preorders for Nintendo DSi. So, if you want to order a DSi before April 5th US date, you can now have the opportunity to do so by placing preorders with Amazon or GameStop. Both the retailers have kept $169 as the base price. GameStop, however, may increase the price along with some bundled accessories.

You have to decide which of the two colors to choose from. Nobody can guess why they would limit the colors only to blue and black for its release. But will the limited color choice influence whether you will buy or not?

The perfect time has come after the Christmas rush to release a great game which might have been overshadowed by a giant big title in the peak release period. The Big Bang Mini is a beautiful and a small gem title for Nintendo DS. It has been developed by Arkedo Studio and published through SouthPeak Games. The game has nine worlds and 90 levels to play and have a blast through.

The game includes shooting of fireworks at a range of enemies and guides your ship at the same time. It uses the sensitive touching double-screen of Nintendo DS almost perfectly. The game becomes very fun to play as you have to manage both the screens, one at the top, the other below at the same time. There is enough game-play to keep you busy for a long time.

Police officers used the Nintendo Wii to make caricature of the man they want to trace. The popular console’s “Mii” feature allows users to devise personalized avatars by selecting from a range of different face shapes, hairstyles, eyes, ears and other features. The character’s clothing, size and expressions can also be fine-tuned by the players.
These cartoons looking characters can also be used on a range of Nintendo games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit. The Japanese police created such a Mii for tracing a young man with long brown hair and sunglasses who was involved in car collision case.

Role Playing 01/31/2009

There used to be times when you bought a thing, it just did the thing you bought it for. Record players played records. Discmen spun CDs. Game consoles played games. No more, no less. Then the PlayStation 2 became the best-selling console in history by doubling as a DVD player. Now consoles have gone beyond mere multitasking, enduring to transform themselves with new functions long after you bring 'em home.

Think of this as a new front in the ongoing console wars. Nintendo's Wii won the first round by proudly claiming to be a games-only machine — unlike Sony and Microsoft's multimedia powerhouses — to facilitate their low price point. "We wanted consumers to be able to access our products on a lower budget. That's why [we made] the initial decision to leave a DVD player and a lot of other functionality out of the system," explains Nintendo Canada spokesman Matt Ryan. "The other thing is, how many DVD players do people have in their houses? I've got three. I don't need three."

Prince Ray 01/27/2009

If we go by the reviews, the whole idea behind SPRay sounds pretty unique and interesting, as you play the role of the character Prince Ray here, who has to try and save his kingdom which is at present being ruled by Queen Mordack. Queen Mordack has taken things over by making everyone slaves, and taking complete control of the villages, etc. Prince Ray ends up with a magical crown which sets him off on this journey to try and save his kingdom.
In stipulations of the graphics, there really is not all that much here to be overwhelmed by, as the Wii can certainly pump out better graphics than this. The colors are not vibrant enough, animations need more blaze, and the areas can get pretty weak quickly.  On the positive-side of things though, the frame rate is pretty steady.

Anime 01/27/2009

Nintendo did off late catch up with Tatsunoko. Tatsunoko is a Japanese animation studio responsible for some of the biggest Japanese cartoons, but probably not many you know of. They did the original anime version of speed racer, which was bottomed on the manga. Sadly, they don’t own the rights to speed and that’s why he doesn’t make an appearance in this game. They also made Gatchaman, which was re-edited for America as Battle of the Planets and then later as G-Force.
That’s where the playable Ken the Eagle comes from and is the only character I remembered seeing from our childhood. He also happens to be a great character in the game. A nice rival to Capcom’s Ryu, with a cape.
