Japanese game company Namco Bandai has been struggling to find ways to fend off the Wii as it snatches customers away from their video arcades.  The game manufacturer seems to have adopted an attitude of "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."  Their solution?  Create games that can work in conjunction with the Wii.  Somehow.

All of this seems to still be in the blueprint stage, but if done properly this could actually benefit both parties.  This isn't the first time Namco Bandai has travelled down this road, having incorporated slots for PS2 controllers into the cabinet for its Tekken 5 arcade title.  Glad to see they've stopped blaming the Wii and started coming up with a plan.

In Japan, video games are big - really big.  The culture's fascination with video games of all sorts has created an environment that can sustain that most mythical of all American video game creatures - the arcade.  That was until Namco Bandai began closing 50-60 of its arcades - and blaming the Wii for their demise.

Namco Bandai's spokesperson, Yuji Machida, has suggested that the Wii is significantly contributing to the death of the arcade because of its motion-based controls, amongst other things.  These controls allow the Wii to provide an experience at home that could only previously been enjoyed in an arcade.  Could be true.  Could also be that the Japanese finally got hip to the fact that the Wii isn't equipped with a hose that sucks all of your money out of your pockets.

They said records are made to be broken, but what about smashed? Nintendo of America has announced that Super Smash Bros. Brawl that the title has sold nearly 1.5 million copies since its release on March 9. 874,000 units were moved on the first day alone.

NOA says that the game flew off the shelves "at a rate of more than 120 units per minute betwen launch and March 16." Super Smash Bros. Brawl now stands as the fastest-selling game in NOA's history. Looks like Nintendo has found its answer to Halo.

They may be on a plane, but they're not going to be in Mario Kart Wii. Snaking, the technique developed by Mario Kart 64 players, is being scrapped. For those unfamiliar with the trick, it's a drift maneuver that gives a temporary speed boost to your kart.

Gone are the days of drifting in and out of turns, watching your exhaust smoke change from white to red. It's a sad day for old-school Kart fans. Now we have to learn how to race again.

Now this is interesting news as the French soccer coach, Raymond Domenech is banning the Wii from the players. This isn't the first time he's done something strange as he's also a big astrology nut. He doesn't like Scorpios on his soccer team.

The French team is taking part in the European Championships which is a significant event which makes you wonder if banning the Wii is part of an effort to make the team concentrate on the tournament 100 percent. Anyway, it's strange news and we wonder if other teams will follow suit, but we kind of doubt that.

Everyone is scrambling to buy Super Smash Bros Brawl for good reasons. The only problem is that where is the best place to buy it? It's not an easy question thanks to the marketing strategies of different stores.

The best place to buy Super Smash Bros Brawl is Circuit City if you're considering a pre-order because they will give you a free 10 dollar gift card. If you're willing to buy a new game along with Brawl, then go to Best Buy as they are giving a 10 dollar gift card as well. Finally if you're willing to trade in an old game, then goto Gamestop. Three choices, but regardless, get your ass out there and buy Super Smash Bros Brawl.

So this store Kelly's is apparently letting people rent the Wii for $79 a month then in 12 months after all those monthly payments, you can keep your Wii. And you basically paid $948 for your Wii!

That is not worth it, DON'T DO IT. See heres a better idea, save $79 a month for 3 months then buy the Wii. It's the same thing but you are saving sooo much more. Seriously that is the biggest rip off, I have ever seen in my life.

If you have ever wanted to pimp out your ride and see how it looks, well now is your chance with Zenkoku Dekorora Matsuri. It's a really cool concept that will get you screaming for more.

Not sure if it is sold in the states, not even sure about the price. I recommend googling it and see want you come up with. Post any screen shots or anything you find if you'd like in the comment area. cheers!
